I was talkin' with Zhouburn. I have a plot to run by Amanda before I go anywhere with it. It involves the kidnapping of either Connor or Katie, which could easily get the story rolling. My problem is that I feel like we have a ton of characters and no large confrontation to get into. Or maybe we just have too many "good" characters? I dunno.

Sounds good to me.
BTW, the reason Connie didn't show up on facebook is 'cause she didn't use the right last name (Wilkinson vs. Harvey).

So, Atlantis and I were talking and we have decided to add in some stuff.
Most importantly, We were thinking that, to lose her soul Alise would have to combine the powers of all of the magical humans. Together, their powers will be able to return souls. For this to play out though, I think we would need a character that has significant knowledge of the supernatural, but without being supernatural him/her-self. Since this started as a "Buffy" Spin-Off, I thought I could bring a character from the show that would have a book with the directions to do so. Alise (or any character, Maybe Carrie) could end up killing them. That way, we have the Buffy reference to satisfy me, a good way to get a plot rolling, and incorporation of all characters. Thoughts?
Secondly, We decided to add in a weakness to the Vampires. Dead Mans Blood will do damage to them, however it won't kill them.

Oooh! I have a character that could do that!
I was actually thinking of *mabeh* eventually bringing him in the future anyway. A fighting-scholar mentor type. Actually, I was gonna play him as a were-priest but I could drop that. *shrugs*
Then again... I don't actually have any Buffy knowlege sooo for the sake of not hijjacking your game I can back burner him if someone else has a charrie they would like to use.
I've actually got a vagualy sketched 'arch' in mind. But I don't think we're really at a great point for it yet. It would kill a lot of what were doing and we don't have the character relations to support it. *shrugs*
... I'm actually talking myself out of this character volunteering XD

Haha no you don't understand.
My plot involved a dark force who, back on that faithful day when our vamps were souled, managed to harness the power of all the vampires souls who were still in limbo. A Necromancer.
The problem is that if this guy attacked the city, you'd likely have vamps and humans fighting on the same side... which I don't think our characters are ready for yet.
I could still bring in Luke though.

Name: James Lucas Riley {Currently prefers 'Luke'} Age: 34/114 Appearance: Bio: Luke remembers very little about the early years of his life and what he does know is fleeting. He remembers vaguely his mother's long blonde hair, running barefoot along the canals and that hunger often gnawed at his stomach but the rest has been pieced together over time. Luke was likely lived in northern Italy, and he believes himself to be a Venetian. He assumes that he grew up poor and he knows that at some point, likely at the age of 15 or 16, he joined the Italian armed forces and fought in the first world war. He does remember being bitten by a werewolf. The memory is blurry, but Luke remembers that it was a rainy a miserable night. His unit was in the midst of a great battle, and losing horribly. There were many young and inexperienced soldiers being sent to the front and Luke was among them. The wolves came in a pack. Six huge and hulking creatures who elicited nothing but screams of terror from the young troupes. A bullet grazed the side of Luke's face, leaving him disoriented. Then one was upon him. The wolf tore into the boys shoulder and would have killed him had someone not shot the beast with a silver bullet. The wolves retreated when they realized the weapon but many still lay dead. Luke's savior, who turned out to be a humble farmer who had dealt with were's before, took Luke on his shoulders and brought him to shelter. Later, the man would bring a certain priest who had helped him before to where Luke lay unconscious. Luke awoke two weeks later in a secluded monastery, sick, emaciated and in terrible pain. For many weeks he would remember nothing of his past life and the monks took to calling him James. His first shift, as is that of all weres, was tortuous but the monks especially the one who had brought him in tended him carefully and in time he grew stronger. Soon Luke would learn that this monastary housed members of the Benedanti, a society of vampire and witch hunters that had been founded by a group of werewolves centuries before. They called themselves 'The Hounds of God' and felt called to protect local villagers and townspeaople from supernatural threats. Luke stayed with the monks from the monastary for several months recuperating then moved to Venice, studying under another werewolf priest who taught him to control his powers. WIP Abilities: If it's ok with you Tk I was hoping Luke could be a werewolf. He would have super-human strength and reflexes along with the ability to heal from extreme damage but could not shift at will. Only at the full moon. Your call though. I'm fine with just making him human. Luke probably won't come into play for a while. *shrugs* I think he could be your 'knowledgeable man' in the future though. If needed.

I like having a werewolf. My only thing is that he would be able to shift the day before, the day of, and the day after a full moon.

I can do that.
It's honestly just the 'type' of werewolf your after. My thought was more classic. Shifting is involuntary and it is a bad thing {because the werewolf doesn't keep his head about him}. But you can also do it where the werewolf shifts at will and keeps his mind. It's your call. Either way he's gonna be a tough fighter but the classic variation is fun because he's essentially a time bomb.
It's just how we want to do the lore.

I definitely prefer him not to have the ability to shift at will. If we keep it to three nights of the month than he will have that "classic" feel you were going for.
In my mind, Werewolves are always the better fighter, but because they can only shift 3 nights of the month, vampires kill them off during the days that they are human so they can be supreme beings of the supernatural world.

Ah! I see what your going for. This is how I'm gonna play it.... mabeh. Luke's were-strength waxes and wanes with the full moon. He will involuntarily shift to wolf-form from sunset to sunrise the night of the full moon. As well as on the night on either side of it. In addition {if I feel OCD enough to do this} his supernatural strength and healing ability waxes and wanes with the lunar cycle. So, on a full-moon he has the ability to transform into fearsome beast but during a new moon? His strength is that of a normal human {though a judiciously trained normal human} and so this would be the best time for a vampire to attack him. Strengths include super-human strength, reflexes, agility etc... as well as enhanced senses {especially small} and rapid healing. His only definite weakness is silver {all werewolves have a silver allergy} but you can kill them by normal means if you have enough force {ie, if you can drown/spear/strangle a werewolf... your just gonna have a difficult time of it.}. In wolf form, Luke loses most of his human mind and will mercilessly hunt whatever is in it's path. The goal here is not to 'transform' the prey but to kill it. Close to shifting, a werewolf will appear agitated, testy, be prone to violent outbursts and will run a high temperature. Werewolves do have souls so religious objects do not burn them. I'm thinking were's may have the ability to sense the presence/absence of a soul. Werewolves are not immortal, as vampires are. But they are known to live an excess of 400 years. By the way... full moon in Seattle is actually tonight. I'll be sure to look out! XD
