Teejay, since I never managed to be on Skype at the same time as you yesterday (better luck this evening?), do you have any ideas to tie our ragtag group of injured and foreigners to your Hawk camp?

Before I post for Moire, have we come to any Crow-camp conclusions?

I don't think so. I've been privy to most of the Amanda/TJ convos.

I totally missed your post, Ebs 'cause I didn't think to look in this thread. But I'm thinking we'll just have them like... chill for a bit, I guess. I mean, a battle's about to start out in the forest. They're sort of going to be close to the action as it is-- close enough they might run into a few Crows in the wilderness if we want to do that.
I just feel like if they head for the camp before the battle then too many people have wandered into the camp realistically speaking.

With Lucas dying in the not so distant future, I was thinking that I should make a hawk character that I planned as my secondary character to begin with. She'll be pretty low-key until the battle in the woods gets close to ending.

Do it! Ben is so bored being locked up in his cell all the time. He needs someone to talk to.

I need to get in touch with TJ though, my plan for her might need GM approval.

Name: Pyra Greyheart Age: 18 Gender: Female Appearance: Weapons: Here is a brief video displaying how she uses the weapon exactly. Minus the magical lightning. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wCSRenXIHQShe is also trained in using a boomerang. It’s not meant to be used in the heat of battle, but if she needs to knock someone unconscious from a distance, it’s a great tool to have. She also uses it in her down time for fun. Bio: Pyra is the daughter of Avelinne and Terrus Greyheart. A family of nobles in the city of Tirh Ciardh. The Greyhearts are well known for being a secretive family that doesn’t interact with the community much. The reason being? They are three of the six members that run a small smuggling operation for Malphas. They keep it low key and only the top ranking officials in Malphas’s court know about them. They have two operatives in Midin; Elex and Rufus (who are brothers of Avelinne), and four members in Tirh Ciardh. Avelinne, Terrus, Pyra, and Lucas Kriess. Lucas was sent to keep the operation running smoothly, while the other members ‘smuggled’ weapons, poisons, slaves and other things that would not be good if the rest of the world learned about. After meetings with Lucas for a couple meetings, Pyra fell in love. Headfirst with no bungee cord. While she tried to keep the crush to herself, Lucas, being the strategist he was, caught on quickly. He nursed the crush until one day, when he was drunk, He raped Pyra. Pyra was mentally shattered and felt that she could never show her face again. Her heart felt eternally heavy and she felt empty. Like she had no purpose in life. She resigned from her duties as a smuggler and started spending most of her time in the *Temple (What do we call it? Church? Mosque?). She prayed to Elhanan every day. She didn’t know if it helped, but she did anyway. She started adopting aspects of the priest’s lifestyle to her own. Around this time is when she met Hozai. She enjoyed her talks with him and learning the history of Elhanan. After a couple months of her time with Hozai she left the City and Joined the Hawks. She believed that the Hawks were the real ‘good-guys’. She is now a soldier in their army and is frequently assigned with guarding the prison. Her weapon doesn't show up. It's a red Rapier with a black hilt.

Hey TJ, I have a character idea for this game, but I figure it would need your approval. She would be kindof a "caged princess" (not literally locked up, but living in the Palace under Malphas' shadow). Age, about 11 or 12. She would be a gentle, kind-hearted person, but she is a daughter of Malphas'. So, she has (what seems like) good reason to fear that if the Hawks win they will kill her to eliminate his bloodline and restore the legitimate dynasty to the throne. She would have had a happy, innocent childhood for the most part, because Malphas has never had time to bother with a little girl, but now she's starting to approach marriageable age and/or start becoming a political factor in her own right. So, her innocent world is about to start coming apart as Malphas and the intrigue of his crumbling Court start to loom larger in it.
I don't remember, does Malphas have a Queen? If not, the proposed character could be a daughter of Malphas and Beryl, so she could enter the game suddenly cast adrift, not knowing if she's going to be kept by Malphas or tossed to Shadow Blade or worse... Edit: if the daughter-of-Beryl thing is OK with you, Zabby.
What do you think?

I'd agree with it, and I think it's a really cool idea as long as it doesn't interfere with anything TJ had planed.

Thanks. Zabby, would Beryl have been a loving and attentive mother, or have farmed her daughter out to nannies and tutors? I'm fine with either, so it's up to you based on how you want Beryl to be like.

Probably would've farmed her out to nannies and tutors, but that would be just as much under Malphas's demanding as it is her own desire. I'm thinking he wouldn't want to keep Beryl tied to raising a child or anything.

That was my guess. Fits with her character as portrayed so far.

Name: Cerys Adi-Tziyona Age: 11 Gender:Appearance:Weapons: None Crow or Hawk: Crow(ish) Reason for Being a Crow: She is the daughter of Malphas Bio:Cerys is the daughter of Malphas and Beryl. From the beginning, she was farmed out to nannies and tutors to raise. She was even named by the midwife who brought her into the world. As a daughter of the King, she was raised to be a proper and good princess, and used by him whenever he needed his regime to have a sweet, pretty face. Cerys doesn't really understand her father's cynical motives. She just thinks it is her place to care for the people and help them be happy. She was raised in a very sheltered environment, kept away from parents who have no time for her. She was taught that her father is very, very busy being a good King and that the Realm was happy and prosperous under his rule. Recently some of the truth has begun to percolate through the filters erected around her; more so as conditions--and Malphas' rages--worsened.
