Do you remember those long nights where you stayed awake afraid of the dark, or the monsters in your closet? So many times you were told that they were just part of your imagination. What if they weren't? What if those creatures you were always so afraid of, really did hide in your closet, or under your bed? Well, they do.These creatures have haunted and scared children for many years, but have always been held back. There is a group of creatures that do protect them, fairies, nymphs, mermaids, any fairy tale creature that you can think of. This group has for many years protected the children of the world, they are the ones who keep the monsters in the closet, or under the bed. They keep them trapped, and held back from the children. This is how the 'bad creatures' become simply a figment of the child's imagination. So many children are told what they are seeing is fake, and sooner or later, they believe it's true, and the creatures simply become nothing but something they were once afraid of, and once the creatures are no longer feared they no longer have power. This is what the good creatures are trying to keep.
Recently, however, the 'good creatures' have become out numbered, and the 'bad creatures' have been able to touch and in some cases even harm people. The cases are worse in the small town of Mountain View, Arkansas. Mysterious things have been happening, some small and not very noticeable, but they have become increasingly worse. They have caused some alarm within the town, but no one knows what to do. After all, the only people who can see, or do anything about this problem, are all under the age of 14. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
SerenaSerena pulled the blankets up to her chin, trying to force the tears back. She had awoken suddenly by the banging of the tree outside her window. She jumped to her feet on top of her bed, and let out a small shriek, as her bed was pushed away from the wall. She peaked over the side, and the blankets she had stuffed there were flown across the room. She fell back onto the bed and pulled her covers over her head, and grabbed the plastic baseball bat that she had taken from the garage, and insisted that she slept with it. She shook violently as her window flew open, and wind poured in. Serena closed her eyes telling herself it wasn't real, everything was all in her imagination. 10...9....8..."count down from 10 Reni, all the monsters will go away." 7.....6.....5.....The movement under her bed grew steadily. 4....3...Serena covered her ears and berried her head in her knees. 2....All of a sudden the shaking from her bed fell still. Serena opened her eyes slowly and lay on her stomach. She inched herself toward the edge of the bed. She peaked over the edge and screamed, the red eyes glared up at her. Serena flew back to the middle of her bed, but not before the creature had grabbed her arm, leaving bleeding scratch marks. Serena grabbed the bat and ran from her room. As she did, she heard the haunting laugh as the creature disappeared back under the small bed.The next morning Serena woke up early curled up at the foot of her brothers bed. She quietly got up, trying not to wake Jude before he needed to be awake, and slowly walked back to her room. She crawled back into her bed as the sun slowly rose in the sky and tried to drift back to sleep. Too soon, she heard the chime of the Winnie the Pooh alarm clock next to her bed. She pushed the center button and crawled from her bed. She glanced down at her arm, and ran to the closet trying to find something to wear. She had finally started to realize how to match her clothes, after Jude having to send her back almost every morning. She grabbed a blue skort with a white shirt, with ruffles on the sleeves. She changed quickly and grabbed a pair of socks before heading to the kitchen to make some toast. That was her job in the morning, she made toast for the two of them, because most of the time their mother was passed out, after her night. When the toast popped up from the toaster, Serena grabbed them and put them onto two plates. She ran to the fridge and reached for the butter and jelly. She sighed, and walked back to the pantry to get her stool. She was positive that she had grown enough since the morning before to grab the butter. She stepped up on the stool and grabbed the jelly and butter. Carefully balancing the two, so she did not break either of them, she carried them to the table. After that she ran down the hallway and to her brothers room. She shook her head and grinned, her curls bouncing everywhere. She ran at his bed and jumped on it, "Come on sleepy head! It's time to wake up, we have to go to school! You don't want to have to walk again do you?" She sat on the edge of the bed and lowered her head to look at Jude, "Bubba! Wake up!" SamSam set her book on her side table, and pulled the covers up to her chin. She closed her eyes, after an exhausting day, she was out almost as soon as her eyes closed. Soon she heard the sound of the bike horn that she heard so many times before. "Come on Sam, this is crazy. There is no way that stupid clown is really here." She always tried to convince herself that, and every time it never worked. She sighed and opened her eyes slowly, and looked around the room. She threw the covers off of her and stood from her bed, grabbing the book she had lay down earlier. She walked around the big room. She hated how big it was, things could hide anywhere. The crash from behind her made her spin on her heal and lift the book above her head, ready to strike. She laughed at herself, she had knocked something off of her dresser. She relaxed, and went to pick up the object. Sam's spine went stiff when she felt the cold hand on her shoulder and saw the white fingers. She dove forward spinning around and swinging the book, and the almost glowing white face, and red lips that were there. She pounced to her feet, and looked around the room with ragged breath, when the clown appeared behind her again, pushing her into the wall. She dropped the book and turned to face the cackling creature. She tore toward the door, but it slammed before she got there, and when she pulled at the nob the door wouldn't budge. Sam's breathing became fast and heavy. A small tear slid down her cheek. She wiped it away, and turned around to see the smiling clown moving toward her. It lunged at her grabbed her around the waist pulling her away from the door. Sam let out a scream, and fought with everything she was, but the creature was too strong. It pushed her up against the wall and grabbed her around the neck. Same grabbed at the ghostly white hands and kicked, to no avail. The door flew open and Sam dropped to the ground, and pulled her knees up to her chest trying with everything in her to not cry. Her father ran over to her, "Sammy Bear, are you alright honey?" She nodded not taking her head away from her knees, "It....was just the clown again..." Her father sat next to her and wrapped his arm around her, "Sammy, it was just another dream. Everything is going to be okay, sweetheart." Sam leaned against her fathers strong arms, and closed her eyes, letting herself cry softly, until finally she drifted to sleep.Sam grabbed her phone from the side table and shut off the alarm. She rolled over and looked around the room, her father must have put her back into bed. She felt like a child. What 14 year old still needed their daddy to rock them to sleep. That stupid dream, that's all it was. Sam couldn't believe it, she lightly touched her neck where the cold hands had been. She shuddered, and got up from her bed, and walked into her huge closet, grimacing at all of the outfits. She was tempted to grab her softball jersey, and wear it with jeans, but her mother would freak out and make her go back up the stairs and change, or she would be home schooled again. Instead she grabbed a pair of jeans and the least girly blouse that she could, and headed down the stairs. "Good morning, darling." Her mother said glancing up from her novel. Sam smiled smugly, "Morning, Mom. I'm gonna be late for school, if I don't leave." She grabbed a poptart and headed toward the door, "Samantha! First, it's going, not gonna. Second, you almost forgot your bag." She held up Sam's satchel that she was supposed to use as a backpack. "Oh....right...sorry." She ran back and grabbed the bag. "Later Mom, remember I'm probably going to hang out and play some soccer after school." Sam practically ran for the door, and grabbed her bike. Nothing in Mountain View was very far apart. She sped down the sidewalk, trying to clear her head of the events from the night before. Everyone told her the clown was in her dreams, and sometimes it felt like that, and then there were nights like the last, where it felt so real. She didn't know what to think, and she probably never would. OT: OK YOU CAN BEGIN NOW!

Tommy
“Good night, mom!” Tommy called out to his mother. He ran to his bed and dove in. He had just gotten new sheets and they felt “Amazerful” as Tommy would say. He crashed his head on the pillow and just laid there a second. It wasn’t until he got in bed did he realize how un-tired he really was. He tried lying as still as long he could but it didn’t work. So he just sat up in bed and grabbed his WWE action figures and started having a match between John Morrison and Kofi Kingston when he heard an ear piercing noise come from outside. Tommy froze in fear. “No! Not tonight!” he yelled. He figured somebody would have come, but his mom was downstairs watching Friends. Nothing stopped her from watching Friends. He went to his closet and in the bottom of it had a nerf gun he grabbed it and loaded it and walked slowly to the window. “Please don’t be there, Please…. Please…!” He whispered to himself. He peeked out the corner of the window and didn’t see anyone. He let out a sigh and relaxed his shoulders. He turned around and went breathless. He was in the room. White-Face just towered over the poor boy and reached to grab him. Tommy ducked to the side and after gaining his wits back, screamed. Only to have it muffled by a freezing cold hand. Tommy wiggled and squirmed until he suddenly realized that he was in his front lawn. He broke free and ran back to the large house. “Mom!!! Let me IN!!!” He screamed at the top of his lungs. White-face was getting closer and closer when the door open and Tommy fell in. He turned around and didn’t see White-face anywhere. “Tommy!?” His mom screamed. She held the boy close but then started scolding him about sneaking out. He was sent up to his room and was told to only come out unless he absolutely had to.
He laid in bed in fear. He sat up a few times to look out the window, just to be safe. But it never came back. He sat up and grabbed his action figures again, hoping to relieve some stress. He tried to get into it but all he could wonder was how he got outside. He pondered and pondered until he fell asleep. His mother came to wake him up and he got dressed for school. He ate and got his homework together and got in his moms new Ferrari. A gift from his dad, obviously. They drove off to the school and when she dropped him off he ran to his desk and pulled out a journal from his backpack. Attack number 85 in the past 5 months he labeled the date and sat at his desk until Serena got to the school so he could have someone to talk to.
(OOC: Jude will be up later this weekend, sorry for the delay. Maybe tonight if I get really bored or something)

Amelia:
Amelia lay awake, alone on a vast hotel king size bed, worriedly watching the closet. A long day of packing and airports and planes left her exhausted but unable to sleep. The closet door was open by a hand's breadth. Within, impenetrable darkness. She closed her eyes and pulled the covers over her head, hoping to just make the night go away. Not that she was eager to face the morning's fears: a new school and a new home in a state that might as well be a foreign country. But right now, the darkness behind the closet door frightened her even more.
A flicker of light across her bedspread, like a flashlight beam. Slowly, nervously, she lowered the blankets, peering over them, eyes riveted on the closet door. It was now open to the width of a man's shoulders. The darkness was pierced by two shining white orbs whose light only vaguely suggested the shape of a head, utterly bereft of features, and the shirt-and-tie collar of a black suit. She could feel, rather than hear, a buzzing in her head as those implacable eyes watched her.
Amelia's lips spread in a smile. Thank you for coming with me, Gus, she signed. Moments later, her eyes fluttered closed, her face relaxing into an expression of beatific contentment.
"OK honey, I'm going to take you to your new school. While you're there, I'll get your things all moved in to your new home and get everything squared away with your new foster parents. I'll be with them when they come to pick you up, alright?" Cassandra signed.
"OK," Amelia replied, then took another bite of her oatmeal and fruit.

LoganLogan sat with his back pressed up against his headboard, flashlight clutched in his left hand, covers drawn close around his chin. A howling autumn wind wracked the oak tree outside his window, and shadowed daggers danced across the creaking wooden floors. But even above the wind and the sound of his pounding heart, another sensation reigned, the sensation of being watched. "I know you're there..." Logan croaked. He fumbled with the flashlight but his hands were shaking too much to flip the switch. "You better show yourself or I'll... I'll..." Green eyes flashed, and Logan cried out, then finally managed to turn on the flashlight but the room was empty. Logan gulped, "I... I'm not afraid of you!" He scanned the room, but the creature was still hiding. He closed his eyes tight, "You're imagining it Logan," He reassured himself. "There's no such thing as..." "Were is the Demon Prince?" Logan opened his eyes slowly to see the wolf crouching at the foot of his bed. Though covered in white fur, the creature was more human than wolf in build its face however was decidedly canine. Its eyes were deadly focused, unnaturally long teeth glistening in the moonlight. "Wha..?" Logan squeaked, "I.. I don't know what your talking about." "The Demon Prince!" The wolf growled, its voice eerily high and seeming to emanate from the walls rather than its mouth. "Son of the Darkling King, child of the overworld sentenced below." The wolf drew closer, breathing deeply, smelling him. "The crow-keeper told me you would know human, so speak! I have no time for your games." "I don't know what your talking about." "Speak!" "I DON'T KNOW!!!" "Logan?" The doorknob shook as Faren, his cousin, fiddled with the door. "Are you ok?" The door swung open suddenly as the cherry haired teenager stumbled into the room. Brightness blinded Logan as his cousin flipped the switch. "What's wrong?" "Don't Faren He'll.... Oh..." The creature had vanished with the light, looking out his window Logan could see the first rays of morning peeking over the horizon. His cousins eyes were bleary, but concerned beneath artificially red locks. Logan breathed deeply, but found he was still shaking. "I... I had another nightmare..." "The fire again?" "No... the wolf...." Logan looked away, suddenly embarrassed. "It felt so real Faryn.... but I know it can't be... right?" The older boy shrugged, "I don't know." He sat down next to Logan, and gently put his arm around him. "But I know that it can't hurt you... not if you don't let it." "It's looking for someone.... The Demon Prince... It said something about a crow-keeper and the underworld... overworld... I don't know..." "Well, if anyone can solve the mystery you can." Logan sighed, "I'm not so sure." "I am." ****************** Logan and Faryn had talked for nearly an hour, about dreams mostly, but also about school, the changing weather, zombies, and the superiority of the original star wars trilogy. By the time Faryn left to help prepare breakfast for the kids, Logan's breathing had returned to normal and he felt better... though the Wolf's request still echoed in his brain. Who is the Demon Prince? And why should I know where he is?He ate his breakfast in relative silence, then dressed for the day in a Greenday T-shirt Faren had given him, Jeans, green converse and a yellow superhero cape. As he donned his bike helmet and a black eye-mask one of the foster kids sneered at him. "You know they wouldn't tease you if you didn't dress like a freak." She spat. "You know they wouldn't make you sit alone at lunch if you didn't eat the teacher's glue sticks." The girl stuck at her tongue in indignation but Logan merely walked away with his bike, waving to his Aunt as the other children piled into her van. The school was only a short distance from the old house anyway, through safe neighborhoods with sidewalks. He buckled his helmet, then checked the playing card, an ace of spades, that was close-pinned to the back wheel-rack and set off into the misty morning. OT: About time right? Faryn looks like this --> data.whicdn.com/images/25119560/tumblr_l9ksxm3w8K1qdo5l3o1_500_thumb.png but younger, is about 16-17, and a bit odd himself. ^_^

Jude
Jude tossed and turned in his sleep. He kept dreaming that the cloaked man was killing him, again and again, in a never ending loop. He couldn’t wake up no matter how many times he tried. It was almost as if the cloaked man had him trapped in his own dominion. It wasn’t until the man cut his arm did he wake up. It was three in the morning and Insidious was just getting to the final five minutes on his T.V.. “Why did I even start that?” he asked himself. He looked at his arm where the man had scratched him. Blood. Jude started to panic. How the he— he then saw his other hand, skin underneath his nails and blood around his fingertips. He sat and wondered how on earth it happened but eventually just let out a sigh and went back to sleep. He slept soundly until Serena came and jumped on him.
"Come on sleepy head! It's time to wake up, we have to go to school! You don't want to have to walk again do you?"
Jude startled and covered his head with his blanket.
"Bubba! Wake up!"
“Okay… okay… I’m up.” He looked down at his little sister and couldn’t help but grin. She looked up at him with her cute little face a smiled. “Let me get dressed and then we can eat and head out, okay?” She nodded and walked out the door. He got up and pulled on a wadded up, plain green t-shirt and put on some slightly ripped faded jeans. He walked out the door grabbing his signature article of clothing, a necklace with a small lightning bolt as a charm. He got it from an old man he had met walking home from school one day. It was weird to think that he got it from some stranger that he had never met before, but it was so… intriguing. The old man said that it held the powers of Jupiter, god of the skies. Ever since then, Jude had started going by the name Jupiter. For no particular reason either. He just, did.
He walked out of his room and sat down to have breakfast with his little sister. They sat and talked about school and homework and all things they usually did in the morning. They got their shoes on and waited for the bus.
He then remembered his dream. It was the third night in a row that he had dreamed about the figure in black, it had never been to the point of death before though. The fact that he had died in the dream was enough to make even Jude feel scared. He then looked at Serena and hugged her tight. “I don’t know why, but I feel ‘huggy’ today.” He said with a grin, trying to relieve the thoughts from his mind. They then heard the bus and went outside to get on. They climbed up in it and moved to their regular seats. It was a little weird to ride the grade school bus with his sister, but the high-school was right next to the grade school and the bus driver didn’t have a problem, so neither did Jude. They stayed pretty quiet on the bus, which wasn’t uncommon. It was way too loud to talk on the bus anyway. When they got to the school, Jude stepped down from the bus and walked his sister to the front door of the grade school he told his sister to have a good day at school as he always did and walked down to the high -school.
“…he’s …... here…..”
Jude scratched his ear and looked around. There didn’t appear to be anyone talking to him, but he undoubtedly heard something. He just shrugged it off and continued walking for the school. He saw Sam at the front door. They weren’t exactly ‘friends’ but she was still nice to talk to.
“Hey, Sam. How’s it goin?”

Serena
Serena ran from the room and waited for Jude to come out from the room. She had always loved their morning talks about school. When they left to school Serena was surprised by the hug from Jude, it wasn't that he never hugged her, it just seemed so out of place. On the bus ride to school Serena couldn't help but think that Jude was worried about something. She knew him well enough to know that something was bothering him.
When he left her at the school Serena watched Jude walk toward his school. She wanted to ask him what was wrong, but she knew he would never tell her. Serena walked through the big doors of her school and headed toward her classroom. She smiled and waved to the students and teachers she passed in the hallway, before finally arriving at her class. She skipped through the door and a huge smile spread across her face as she saw her friend Tommy. She slid into the desk next to him, and grinned. "Hi, Tommy! How was your weekend?"
Sam
Sam rode up to the school, and pulled her bike up to the bike rack. As she was locking the bike safely, and making sure it wasn't going to be stolen, she heard someone come up behind her. She stiffened slightly feeling the cold hands from the night before around her neck. She spun around, and felt like an idiot when she realized that it was Jupiter. She relaxed and managed a smile. She didn't hand out with Jupiter much, but she had talked to him a few times.
"Nothing much, just the usual drama with my mom." Sam shrugged, "but that's all good, I have Soccer to take my mind off of it right now." She looked away from the school building toward the small forest next to it. She squinted and took a step hesitantly toward the dark trees. A look of terror momentarily crossed her features before she was able to force them away. She shook her head and the colored hair and white face dissapeared in the darkness. Get a hold of yourself Sam, people are going to start to think you're crazy. She looked back toward Jude, "So, how have things been for you?" She started walking toward the school, waiting only for Jupiter to follow. As they walked, she couldn't help but glance back into the trees hoping that she had just been seeing things, after her bad dream the night before.

Amelia:Amelia waved feebly back at Cassandra, then slowly, reluctantly, turned to face the school. The hood of her black sweatshirt was pulled up, but unfortunately, it could not hide her from Them. To adults, They were harmless, even appealingly cute. And some of Them were harmless; at least they left Amelia alone. A few might even be friendly. But some of Them were Monsters. Amelia was pretty sure she'd know which ones those were before the day was out. A boy rode past on a bike...wearing a superhero cape? A blurry object on the rear wheel of his bicycle resolved into an ace of spades when he stopped. Why did he put that there? He can't even see it when he's riding. Maybe for other people to see? Or maybe it makes a sound. Amelia understood the concept of sound, sort of. She could feel rhythmic, thumping vibrations in her chest when certain cars went by. Sometimes she could feel vibrations by gently touching a surface, or see them rippling in a glass of water. Other people didn't need to read each other's lips, so obviously when they moved their mouths, sound came out. Her mind tried to imagine what the card might 'sound like.' Cullen Hart:*Cullen snickered when he saw Logan ride past, cape fluttering. He was just about to open his mouth and let the mockery begin, when another figure caught his eye. A girl in black overalls and hoodie that he hadn't seen before. Her hood shifted subtly as her head followed Logan's bike to the rack. "Hey, Logan! New Girl liiiiiikes you! She wants you to be her heeeerooo! Logan and New Girl, sittin' in a tree! K-I-S-S..." New Girl didn't react at all, and that gave Cullen an overwhelming urge to give her a shove, punch her, kick her...see her cry. Sneaking up behind her, he hooked his right foot in front of hers just as she picked it up to take a step. New Girl tripped and went down on her face. "Saaaave meee Logan!" Cullen said in a shrill 'girly-voice.' New Girl's face turned toward him, and for the briefest moment, Cullen was sure he saw hollow pits in place of eyes, misshapen features... [flashback] Cullen's eyes cracked open, then went wide. Crouched on the foot of his bed, just below his feet, was a pale, naked form resting its face on its knees. Its body was strange and distorted, with bumps and joints in the wrong places, like maybe it had been hit by a car. Its arms were too long, with fingers like crab legs. Its eyes were cavernous holes in a jagged, hairless face. With one spidery arm, it started to reach for him... Cullen screamed, shouting for his father. The door slammed open, light came on. Cullen's head whirled, desperately relieved to see the muscular form of his father filling the doorway. "Oh, for cryin' out loud, Cullen! Man up!" Cullen's head spun back to the creature--nothing. "But..." "What, did the monster take away my son and leave me a little girl in his place? You want somethin' to be scared of? I'll give you somethin' to be scared of!" [/flashback] Man up! he thought, stepping around, then pulled back a leg to kick the girl hard in the side. Her terrified eyes and bloody nose made him big and strong, and it was her own fault for being scared. He'd give her somethin' to be scared of! She didn't make a sound when his foot thudded into her. He pulled his leg back again, ready to kick and stomp and smash and-- He froze, confusion and anger fighting for control of his mind. Dad wouldn't be proud of him for beating up a girl as badly as he wanted to in that moment. He'd get in trouble. He'd never really wanted to beat one up before. Normally, it was enough to pull their hair, throw mud at them, drop a worm in their salad. Beat-downs were for other boys, so they'd know who got their lunch money. And even then, it stopped when they said 'uncle.' *OOC: I might make him into my boy PC. His monster is the Rake.

Logan
"Hey, Logan! New Girl liiiiiikes you! She wants you to be her heeeerooo! Logan and New Girl, sittin' in a tree! K-I-S-S..."
Logan rolled his eyes. The bully, Cullen, had been hassling him since his first day of school. The boy hadn't hit Logan recently, probably irked by the fact that physical beatings failed to elicit tears, but the verbal taunting was constant. "What gives Cullen? Did you forget how to spell the rest of the word?" He turned to see the boys reaction, but Cullen seemed not to have heard and was instead moving towards a young girl in black Logan didn't recognize. "Did you hear that Cul...."
Logan stopped short as Cullen hooked his foot benath the girls leg, knocking her on her face. ""Saaaave meee Logan!""
Logan backpedaled, braking. "You can't do that to a girl Cullen!" But as he turned back to face the bully Logan found that Cullen and the girl were staring at each other, eyes locked for several moments. Then he attacked. Cullen kicked the girl hard in the side, twice, three times. Logan jumped from his bike. "Hey! What the heck are you doing? STOP! YOU'RE HURTING HER!" He was running twoards the fight now, other kids on the blacktop were watching and two formerly oblivous teachers were running to intervene but Logan got there first. "YOU CAN"T HIT GIRLS!"
Maybe Cullen had heard him because the boys suddenly drew back, but Logan was moving to fast, flying with to much anger, to stop. He jumped up onto the larger boy, wrapping his arm around Cullen's neck and knocking the bully to the ground. Logan was significantly smaller than Cullen, all bones to the bullies bulk but He had gotten into more than one scrap against Max or Rylan and could at least hold his own in a fight. "WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!!!!'
