hmm, that's something I'll have to think about. I like the idea of it-- actually sounds like it'd make a good book. But I don't know if I'm even capable of writing children. O.o

Super interested!
I actually love the idea of playing innocent little kids (or not so innocent haha) ideas are a swirling! (bad that this always happens before a test).
So I'm gonna shoot off some random ideas here, don't be offended at all by them (cause I really do like your idea a lot) and don't worry about offending me if they have to be shot down.
What if we did a sort of Nightmare Before Christmas Halloween Town thing meets Monster's Inc? On one side of the 'divide' Kid's are afraid of Monster's under their bed, on the other side kid-Monster's are afraid of kids under their beds (think a young frankenstein, a ghost, a kid werewolf haha). For some reason they end up meeting (after somewhat comical introductions) and have to save the day from the 'true darkness' (a force that wants to unite the too realms so that they will destroy eachother). Keep it light, funny, and innocent but with a serious-implications vibe. Each kid would be paired with a young monster under their bed as their 'inter-realm-companion' (or something, heck i dunno).
Oh gosh, so many ideas. I'll have to remind myself not to steal from you XD
Can you tell I'm in a Halloween mood?
But yes, I love the idea of writing little kids. And I'd be cool with whatever you end up doing.

Those sound cool...I don't know what I'll do yet, but I have to see if people will actually join...because I know there are people who don't think they can write for kids...but that's why I think it's good, because it makes you step out of the comfort zone that is 15-25...I like writing from a kid perspective..because I sort of have a child like mentality....but I know it's difficult for lots of people...

Maybe I have a 'child-like' outlook. I mainly just think its fun. I don't know that I can write a child well, but I'm willing to try! I often think that if I ever wrote a novel it would be targeted at the 8-12 age bracket soooo young characters are good practice. ^_^
I'll keep an eye on this, but seriously, don't feel to swayed by my ideas. Its your baby after all. haha

So two games I've been thinking about the last couple of days, not sure that they'd take off but I just want to see if there is any interest in either.
The first game I actually think would be really cool, but I don't know if I could garner enough interest on this particular forum. The idea is a realistic game consisting of high-school students attending a super-elite riding academy (see, thats where I'm gonna lose most of yall XD) working twoards nationals and the drama that ensues. Honestly, the riding academy thing could be replaced by any sort of big competition that unites them all, I'd be willing to look at other disciplines if there was more intrest there. But anyway, you have these elite athletes all showing up to attend this academy and suddenly realizing that the farms owner, Ian McKinley, has decided to open the program to several 'troubled teens' who may or may not have any riding experience. Lotsa drama. *shrugs* Just a thought. I'd let you fake a bit on the horse stuff since I'm the only crazy horse kid in the group methinks XD
The other is a semi-realistic game that focuses on a group of 'wild' children living in an elaborate city of treehouses in a great wood {possibly in Russia, haven't decided yet}. They have their own sort of kingdom set up where they hunt, gather, and hide defend the woods from nearbye townspeople, many who think they are a nusicance and should be erradicated. Focus would be on the conflict between the wild children and a big-bad who wants to capture them like animals and take the woods, as well as internal conflicts of the tribe. Think Peter Pan's Lost Boys / Lord of the flys kind of .
Unlike Hive (which really I love, but I just can't do much with it right now) either of these could be ready within a week or two. If I started one it would only be one though. I'm honestly more excited about the first, but I think the second is more likely for the group sooo just let me know what you think. ^_^

I like both of them! I would totally be cool with a riding academy! I LOVE Horses, I used to help friends take care of theres...and actually competed in a random play day and did pretty good against the kids who have been around horses their entire life....the only reason I don't still do that, is cuz I don't have my own horsey... but I like the RP idea! I like the other one too, and I think you might be right about the interest of this forum, but I would actually prefer the first! Oh, and I'm also thinking of writing an OT for my Rp, and see where it goes from there..

^_^ Cool!
Haha yea, I've been riding since I was about 6 (mostly hunter/jumper) sooo I'm kinda obsessed with the horse stuff, but I would want the game to be mainly focused on the drama between riders so as to keep stuff from getting too technical. I was never super competitive myself and don't know all that much so I wouldn't make other people fret over it. XD
And cool! I'll keep an eye out for it. ^_^

I LOVE the Riding academy Idea. My sister watched the "Saddle Club" when she was a kid and I had to watch it with her, so I know my horse drama. And Munsters fairy tale one is really cool too. But I must choose between all four of the new ones. I don't think I could handle a bigger load. And I'm not a fan of the Russia tree house thing-y. Sorry Ash.

Haha no worries. I know it gets busy RL comes first, and honestly I'd only start one.
XD The whole 'russia' thing was just throwing a location out. When the concept of that game originally popped into mah head, it was set in the same world as 'Seekers and Shades' (old game) but I wanted to take the magic element out. I was trying to think of the most feasible place to have a colony of wild children. :-P

I actually prefer the Tree house thing... but then, I've never really understood the whole horse thing. I mean. Yeah. Horses are cool and really fun to ride (the one time that I've been on one) but..... I dunno. Every little girl in elementary school was into horses except for me.

Well I think I'd take the riding school. The more drama the better.

See the drama would be the point. Kinda like 'make it or break it' but with horses.
And more PG. XD
2 for Horses, 1 for tree kids. Good to know. ^_^

I like the idea of a game with younger kids, but I think the fairies/monsters angle might be a bit too close to Monster Hunters. I don't know what other premise to put in its place though, at this point. Maybe aliens or future scientists trying to save the world (as in "The Last Mimsy") and innocent children are the only ones they think they can talk to without human power politics and panic (guys in dark glasses and square-jawed generals wondering where to aim their nukes, etc.) getting in the way. Riding Academy: That's a cool idea, but I'd rather keep Prom and Behind Closed Doors going (not that I've had time lately...). Kids in trees: Also a cool idea. I like the idea of a forest society that gets around by means of rope bridges and zip lines. I think a rain forest/jungle would be better than a Russia-type environment. Rain forest canopy trees are big enough to support a whole ecosystem (monkeys, birds, tree frogs, snakes, mammals like squirrels, cats, and sloths), so the tree-dwellers would have a better shot at being able to live entirely in the branches. Question though: what would have happened to the kids' parents? A plague or something? Or are they a sort of society of runaways that exiles members back to the adult world when they turn 18, like the cavern kids in Fallout 3?

Ack! Your right, it does kinda trample on prom a bit. Not my intent though, I've just had a thing for realistic games lately. I'm just sort of at a loss of what to do there {in prom} honestly. I was thinking more that these were more just general orphans/outcasts/runnaways. Its not a huge group, but close to around 50-100. They support themselves to a point, but they also steal (hence why they are a nuiscance). Jungle is interesting, but deffinently puts a diffrent feel on things than I was thinking so I'd have to rework a bit (I do like the idea though). Gives me something to think about. Grazie! <3
